Lions Automobilia Foundation Museum Experience - SAE So Cal - Spec P71 Racing Cop Cars

P71 is the code for a Ford Crown Victoria with the full "Police Package". You've likely seen one in your rear-view mirror sometime in your life. But what becomes of a used P71? Enter Spec P71. The Spec P71 Racing Series is a time-attack style competition designed with driver development at its core. Created to offer an accessible and reliable way for drivers of all experience levels, from newcomers to seasoned veterans, to hit the track. This series is all about affordability, camaraderie, and the pure joy of racing.
Our speaker is Brett Madsen from BTM Simmesport. Brett is a former SCCA Solo National Champion with in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of motorsport and its technologies. His daytime career is in the sim racing industry with his free time spent developing drivers both in the real world and in the sim world.

Lions Automobilia Foundation Experience begins as visitors walk in thru a 1960’s speed shop with genuine parts hanging off the walls and then enter the Main Street Gallery lined with classics automobiles parked in front of a 1950’s diner. The visitor experience has been described as mind-blowing, as each gallery reveals the human experience with the automobile. Lions is more than just a museum. As visitors walk through the galleries, they will find that many of the vehicles on display were restored by the Lions Team.
